THIS IS LUGARIS (2016)

At Lugaris, the luxury beach apartments in Barcelona, happiness is their business. You may think this is just another advertising slogan. But I ensure you all that it is not. Even this video was commissioned to me to make myself happy. And, as you will see, it certainly did it. A visual experience made of very simple materials: toys, colorful papers and loads of patience. Stop-motion technique does not know about rushing. It makes you go back in time. When things were hand made. When doing it right was immensely more important than doing it quickly. When imperfection was beautiful and machines were there to help, not to rule. When magic was not a trick, but a treat. This piece embraces and celebrates these old fashioned values, the good ones. Because these are the main principles at Lugaris. A place that understands luxury in a very peculiar way. Their own way. A place where you feel like home. Where you are treated as a guest. Not as a customer. Where anything you need, you got it. Even happiness.
